My Solar Whiz motor died after 18 months and I was worried that with Christmas upon us I’d be left without a roof ventilation system for several weeks over a hot summer while companies closed for holidays.Calidad squeezed my job in and replaced the motor for which I’m very grateful.
I would strongly recommend everybody considering GREEN-VENT installation in your house to think twice! before you decide to let an installer to make a hole in your roof to install this rubbish unit for nearly $1000 installed. The electric motor of the unit (based on my own experience and a former Calidad installer experience) survives on average only 12 months, very rarely 2 years. When I visited the office in Wangara (for the 3rd time to order the motor replacement), I asked the staff about warranty period. 2 years warranty on 15W motor and 4 years warranty on 30W motor this is what they said. A few days later when I was about to finalize the faulty 30W motor replacement service I sent an email asking Calidad to confirm formally in writing the warranty period for the GREEN-VENT motor for me.Laura replied:" Unfortunately, in the time frame from speaking to you at the counter and today our supplier has reviewed their warranty (and changed it from 4 to 2 years), unfortunately the installer would not be aware of this as yet. Therefore 2 years warranty is what is offered Thanks Laura"In addition to that Laura also "forgot"😜 to mention" ...about warranty on installation, so that is why soon after I sent the following email:Tue, 7 Nov, 17:37Hi Laura,If the motor brakes down during the (2 years) warranty period, will it be replaced for a new one free of charge?Admin @ Calidad9 Nov 2023, 13:40 (4 days ago)This only would be the cost of the motor, you would still need to pay for the installation cost.30W motor ordered in China or Philippines whatever... very likely won't cost Calidad more than $50 including GST and shipping cost, so charging a customer $380 for the (warranty) service looks still to be a very profitable business for Calidad ...while in that case in my opinion it shouldn't be.NO COMMENT...Shame and disappointment :(especially when there are so many good, reliable, small family businesses around. My advice is: just think twice before choosing Calidad service.
Could not be more delighted with the service we received.We were caught in the middle of selling our home, when we broke our diffuser, and not knowing the make of skylight, we emailed around and found this company, and Diana in particular. The service was quick, the communication pleasant, and the product is right. Keep up the good work!
We tried to get a skylight put in an older style home. Nearly every company we called never called back, were rude and dismissive and one organised a quote and the guy never even turned up. Calidad from beginning to end were professional, punctual and thorough. We had it all done and finished within 2 weeks. Other companies quoted us over 2 months for install without even coming to look. I highly recommend and would definitely use their company again.
I recently had a second skylight installed following the successful installation of a skylight a couple of years ago. I was delighted with the way in which the original skylight brightened a dark room and am equally pleased with my second skylight. Calidad worked with us as the provider of a roof window for our kitchen. They persevered through supply issues and trades person shortages to get our window installed, with the finished product a feature that we're very happy with.

They provided me with a quote for the two skylights I needed and from then on the process was totally painless. I am very happy with the products, the service and the communication with the company.

Shocking service, waited 2 weeks for someone to come out to my property to give a quote however, from the moment the sales person arrived he made me feel like he did not want to be there & would not listen to what I was asking for and just kept trying to sell me electric sky lights. 10 days later I still have not received any quotes or heard from the company .Funny how the moment I posted this review the next day the company keeps calling me regarding the quote.
I have been given a quote, however I have had a question about this quote and have phoned 3 times now each time I get told someone will get back to me but still have not heard anything. I think the problem may lie with the Admin staff here
From quote to install, Calidad team was great. Rod gave good advice and was able to install within a short time frame. A little problem came up upon install with electrical cables. Rod answered my text straight away despite being outside working hours and he was onsite early morning the very next day to help us solve the problem. This is what good customer service is about.
Great service to get the sale but unfortunately that's where it ended. Have been waiting 4 weeks for windows that i was told were at worst 10 days.I called different people of 5 separate occasions and was promised a call back that never happened. The latest where i requested the order number for Velux to allow me to contact them direct at which point i was hung up on saying she was too busy.My roof is now waiting for skylights that i have no idea when will arrive, with Calidad simply not returning calls or providing answers.Use this company at your own risk.
Two weeks ago I made an online inquiry but did not get a response.I called to arrange an appointement and was told to wait for a call back but this did not happen.I sent an email but did not get a replyThese are not signs of a reliable service !
